Boston !

First day in Cambridge (Boston). Feels good, natural, like it should be.

My room is tiny and nice. I just made a deep clean of my room and the kitchen - living room.

My flatmates are lovely, I'm a bit too shy to take a picture of them yet. Nice light everywhere.

There's a true princess cat. I live in a really clever strategical place : On Cambridge street, 1 minute from Lechmere (MBTA station) , 5 minutes walk to MIT where I work, 10 minutes cycle to Harvard where I might take some classes, 10 minutes away Boston downtown, crossing the bridge. I'm so close to the ocean, I will try to go to swim as soon as I can! There are sailing journeys between Boston and Europe, I might do one day (not at that price of course!). I live in a quite old building on a big avenue, easy to find, it looks and feels like Europe here. 5 minutes away from the house a gigantic supermarket Shaws open until midnight everyday!!! Everything feels expensive after Kenya.

I am allowed to carry a swiss knife (Leatherman Wave), I dreamt about it since I was a teenager, now I have it!
The big DIY shop Home Depot is 20 minutes away cycling, it opens at 6:00AM and closes at 22:00!!! Havent found the bike shop nor the bank yet, this afternoon duty.

My flatmate Diego took me to MITERS today, amazing !!!

This is the right place for me now. I'm feeling really happy to be here ;) Waaaaaahhhhhhh!!!

Mexicooo!!!

</object>

A quick, but fantastic trip in Mexico. I was mostly staying in Ensenada, but with a group of great biologists of the Universidad autonoma de Baja California : Carolina Damian Mendoza, Alejandro Carballo, Alma Sanchez we went to see the grey whales, berrendo, dolphins and many other animals plants and algae in the south of the Peninsula in the huge Reserva de la biosfera, El Vizcaino, Baja California, Mexico, near Guerrero Negro. I could also swim in the Pacific Ocean and in the oasis in the desert San Ignacio... what a wonderful trip!

I'm editing a film now, Carolina Damian Mendoza is doing the sound, coming soon!

Los Angeles, North Hollywood

I just arrived in Los Angeles, and for now I stay in North Hollywood, I like the area. Unfortunately I spend most of my day locked up in a room working on the computer, so many things to do...

After flying above the Mojave Preserve (London - LA) ...

Mojave National Preserve

Mojave National Preserve

Finally arriving in LA. This is North Hollywood.

staying over at my old friend's Joti.

We're all asians afterall.

Visiting the supermarkets around the house :

The laundry's open 24h a day, busy. Nobody speaks english around here, only spanish. People speak to me in spanish. Si senor.

Buying some local food, here nopales (cactus) + cat :

Making a little salad and tortilla of cactus, all good.

And finally going for a walk admiring plumbers mazes :

And fat shiny trucks :

Welcome to Los Angeles !
